Simply put, the stars aligned for our third installment of supper + song. What started as a casual brainstorming session with Coco Hames and Jem Cohen (two members of The Ettes) over a beer in East Nashville turned into one of those perfect summer evenings in our cozy backyard.

We started off the night with an incredible blues rock set from Nashville’s brand new ULTRAS S/C. Though they are a burgeoning band, each member has the equivalent experience of a seasoned rock band. Jemina Pearl, Ben Swank and Chet Weise are all friends of ours. We count ourselves lucky that they reworked songs and wrote new material for our backyard hang. We can’t wait to see what comes next for them!

As for The Ettes, we are fans. Coco, Gem and Poni are not only lovely folks, they are uber talented in so many ways. They pared down their normally raucous rock for a set that showcased their sweet and lower decibel side while still maintaining that gritty attitude for which they are famous.

Jeni’s Ice Cream was there to help the crowd cool down on a hot summer eve and as always, the line went around the yard for our friends at Mas Tacos.

We are so grateful that we can bring together a group of around 200 people to sit, listen and enjoy each others’ company for a few hours every month. It doesn’t feel like work at all when it comes together so naturally, so thank you to all!
